Geoff Leonard was born in Bristol. He spent much of his working career in banking but became an independent record producer in the early nineties, specialising in the works of John Barry and British TV theme compilations.<\/p>\n
He also wrote liner notes for many soundtrack albums, including those by John Barry, Roy Budd, Ron Grainer<\/a>, Maurice Jarre and Johnny Harris.<\/p>\n He co-wrote two biographies of John Barry<\/a> in 1998 and 2008, and on a biography of The John Barry Seven<\/a>: \u201cHit and Miss: The Story of The John Barry Seven\u201d (2018).<\/p>\n He joined the Internet Movie Data-base (www.imdb.com<\/a>) as a data-manager in 2001 and looked after biographies, composers and the music-department, amongst other tasks.<\/p>\n Geoff retired after nine years loyal service in order to continue writing.<\/p>\n Geoff (owner) and Ruud (webmaster) have also been running the John Barry<\/a> website since June 18, 2001.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Geoff Leonard was born in Bristol.
